Setting up Loomra
Starting your download… Download again if nothing happens.
macOS 13 or later · Apple silicon
Open the .dmg and drag Loomra into Applications
Double-click the downloaded file. A window opens showing the Loomra icon and an Applications shortcut - drag one onto the other, then eject the disk image.
Open Loomra from your Applications folder
macOS will refuse to open it the first time and say it can't verify the developer. That's expected. Dismiss the message.
Go to Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and you'll see a note that Loomra was blocked. Click Open Anyway next to it.
Confirm with Open Anyway once more
One last dialog appears asking if you're sure. Click Open Anyway, and enter your password or use Touch ID if prompted. Loomra appears in your menu bar — this only has to be done once.
Add Loomra to Screen & System Audio Recording
Still in Privacy & Security, open Screen & System Audio Recording. Click the + button, pick Loomra from your Applications folder, and switch its toggle on. Quit Loomra and open it again afterwards.
One more thing
The first time you record, macOS also asks for Camera and Microphone access. Those prompts appear in the moment — just click Allow, no trip to System Settings needed.
